How to play a random sequence on the Mother-32
The Mother-32's sequencer can play a pattern in four orders: forward, reverse, pendulum (back and forth) and random. Random keeps your pattern's notes and plays them in a random order, set from the panel with two buttons held and one pressed.
Random is one of four playback orders.
Have a pattern playing. Playback order came with firmware 2.0: a Mother-32 on older firmware needs that update first.
Two steps
Hold KB and STEP, tap step 4, let go. Same notes, now in random order.
0:06Hold KB and STEP, tap step 1, let go. Forward again, the default order.
0:14
Random on 4. Forward on 1.
Good to know
The same buttons choose the other two orders: hold KB and STEP and tap step 2 for reverse, or step 3 for pendulum.
