What Tuna does

  • Press PLAY and Tuna improvises endlessly in a key, with bass, melody, pad and percussion.
  • Pick from 89 composers and styles in 10 eras, 86 genres across 8 decades, or 8 character presets from STILL to DRIVE.
  • Steer the music live with the chaos knobs RHYTHM, PITCH, DENSITY and MACRO, where 0 is the composer exactly.
  • Tap a key to set the root, hold several keys to set a chord while held.
  • Freeze the period you hear into an editable pattern of up to 384 notes with trig conditions and parameter locks.
  • 93 instruments play on Felucca's engines, with odd meters, historical tunings and a Rings-style resonator on the mix.
  • OCT- and OCT+ step the seed for another piece in the same manner.
  • 16 slots save the whole state, including the seed, and play back exactly the music that was saved.
