What TILT-FM does
- TILT-FM is multi-engine synthesizer firmware for the M-VAVE FM-1, built on Felucca's interface.
- The ANALOG, LOFI, TRIO, WHEEL and NOISE engines supply the sounds.
- Hold ENV to reach the TILT layer and its quick-start tools.
- NEW SONG gives you a key, scale, tempo and four role-aware sounds, with HOLD, NUDGE and START.
- STUCK applies RANDOM or COOK to the current track to break a stall.
- The TIMER runs a session with a TIME ending and captures a timed take.
- Connect the FM-1 to a computer by USB and use the web editor.
- The update loader lets you move on to another firmware or back to the official V15.
Its modes
- TILT layer
- Hold ENV to open the quick-start layer where TILT's own tools live.
- NEW SONG
- Set a key, scale and tempo, get four role-aware sounds, use HOLD and NUDGE, then hit START.
- STUCK
- Shake up the current track with RANDOM or COOK when the idea stalls.
- TIMER
- Run a session against the clock, with a TIME ending and a timed take.
What Les checked
TILT-FM v0.2.1Scanned October 31, 2026
What we checked for
- The file is exactly the one its author published
- It's the same file we saw when this release first came out
- It opens cleanly as an FM-1 firmware, nothing damaged
- It doesn't show up on your computer as a keyboard, mouse or other input device
- It doesn't show up as a USB drive or network adapter
- Its text mentions no computer command tools, like PowerShell, Terminal or a download command
What we found
- MIDI and audio, as expected
- A serial port, which many FM-1 firmwares keep for debugging. It can't type into your computer.
StatusScanned, nothing harmful found
Les scans every firmware here whose file is public, and shows what it checked and what it found. A scan lowers the risk; it can't rule it out. This firmware is made by its author, not by Les or M-VAVE. Back up first, and install at your own risk. How Les scans firmware
