What TastyWaves does
- TastyWaves is a 12-voice wavetable synth with two oscillators per voice, a sub oscillator and noise.
- You get 12 built-in wavetables plus 8 slots for your own, a resonant state-variable filter, two envelopes and an LFO.
- Two 32-step sequencers run on one clock, each with its own rate, gate, swing, chord, arpeggiator, octaves and level.
- Every step can play a chord, and a modulation lane moves position, cutoff, BEND or drive per step of SEQ1.
- The arpeggiator offers UP, DOWN, UP-DN, UP-DN2, RANDOM, PLAYED and CHORD, with LATCH from PLAY.
- Four knobs set the values on screen, page buttons step through tabs, and holding ARP or SEQ switches them on.
- A browser tool loads Serum, WaveEdit, Ableton and Surge wavetables and backs up your patch library.
Its modes
- HOME
- Shows the oscillator wave and harmonics, with the four knobs set to cutoff, resonance, attack and release.
- EDIT
- Sets OSC1 and OSC2 position, semitone, fine and level, the MIX of sub, noise and BEND, and the FILTER.
- MIX
- Balances the four levels and sets BEND and which oscillators it acts on.
- ENV
- Shapes the AMP and MOD envelopes and picks what the MOD envelope moves and its curve.
- LFO
- Picks the LFO shape and rate and sends it to position and pitch or cutoff and amplitude.
- FX
- Builds a chain of four effect slots, each with a type, two values and a mix.
- SEL
- Sets voice mode, glide, bend range and quality, the control routings, and output volume and drive.
- GLO
- Chooses the HOME look and shows the version, highest CPU load and any audio drops.
- ARP
- Sets the arpeggiator mode, rate, octaves, gate, swing and tempo.
- SEQ
- Records and plays SEQ1 and SEQ2 and edits the modulation lane on the LANE tab.
