What SIDOU does
- Two SID chips play C64 sounds, with four presets and DICE, which rolls a new sound at each turn.
- STEP builds a pattern like a drum machine on the 16 leftmost note keys, with parameter locks per step.
- TRACKER, ORDER, INSTR and TABLE edit the same GoatTracker 2 song, and REC records the keys and the filter knobs.
- LAB shapes one sound over five pages, and SAVE keeps it as one of sixteen USER sounds.
- The CHIP view picks the 6581 or 8580 and a profile, and sets age, DAC, thump and bleed.
- Three effect slots, distortion, modulation and FX, follow the chip in stereo.
- SAVE writes the song to the device's flash, and the menu's SONG loads, names and deletes songs.
- SIDOU's own 6502 plays PSID tunes from flash, with mute, solo, pause and stop.
