What Shine On does
- Shine On makes the FM-1 a seventies string machine with sixteen keyers, phase-locked footages and six fixed registers.
- Four tracks each carry their own registers, ensemble, phaser, arpeggiator and sequence, started and stopped on the bar.
- A three-line bucket-brigade ensemble and a six-stage phaser give the strings their sway, with MONO, STEREO and WIDE spreads.
- The mixer sends every track to a ping-pong delay, a plate reverb and a drive, into a master with DJ filter and compressor.
- The sequencer runs four tracks of up to 256 steps with chords, ties, ratchets, chance, polymeters, swing and recorded knob moves.
- You play the keys live, hold a function button to turn the white keys and knobs into a layer, and tap it for its pages.
- Save a track's program with SAVE twice, keep eight patterns in flash with their sounds and mix, and switch them on the bar.
