What Prysm does
- Four voices each run two oscillators, every one a chain of three wavetable operators using FM, ring or mix.
- Six banks of eight morphing waves sit beside a noise source: white, pink, brown, digital, sample-and-hold or crackle.
- A resonant filter offers a 12 or 24 dB low-pass or a comb, with drive, high-pass and self-oscillation.
- The polyphonic sequencer holds four patterns of up to 64 steps with chords, accents, slides, ties and a song.
- Enter steps from the keys or record in real time with overdub, a metronome and a bar's count-in.
- A lo-fi drum machine plays kick, snare and hat lanes you tap in on the white keys.
- Eight slots save the sound and its sequencer to flash, and the last one returns at power-on.
- USB carries stereo audio into a DAW and MIDI both ways, and the TRS jack takes MIDI and clock.
Its modes
- OSC 1 / OSC 2
- Build each oscillator's chain of carrier, mod 1 and mod 2, setting waves, ratios, FM, ring or mix modes and envelopes.
- FILTER
- Choose a 12 or 24 dB low-pass or a comb and set cutoff, resonance, drive, high-pass and keytrack.
- AMP
- Shape the amp envelope, set how velocity acts, and open the VCA for an instant drone.
- LFO
- Pick the LFO's wave, rate, delay and retrig, and send it to two destinations.
- MIX
- Balance the oscillators, route each source through the filter or direct, set glide and split the keyboard.
- ARP
- Run the arpeggiator with its mode, step, octaves, tempo, gate, swing and latch.
- SEQ
- Edit and record patterns and the song, with chords, accents, slides, ties, parts and the metronome.
- DRUM
- Program kick, snare and hat lanes on the keys and tune the kit and its bus.
- FX
- Set the chorus, delay and reverb that follow the voices.
- LIVE
- Switch patterns and patches on the bar line, mute parts and turn four parameters you choose.
