What Optimist does

  • Three synth tracks each play one engine, from ANALOG 2, DIGITAL, JUNO, SID, PLAITS and FM6 to Clipper's wavetable and vector voices.
  • The drum track holds ten lanes plus an ACCENT lane, with kits from 808 and 909 to acoustic, KAWA and PLAITS.
  • Turning a knob while recording writes motion, and GEN fills a pattern with Euclidean, random, pulse or Grids rhythms.
  • You play the 16 white keys, pick drum lanes on the black keys, edit with four knobs and hold buttons for performance layers.
  • USB and TRS MIDI, Bluetooth MIDI and audio, four-channel USB audio and the web editor all connect to it.
