What NOIZ DEMONS does
- Hold EDIT and press the SUM key to reroll the track's sound, with one of thirty demons deciding how far it moves.
- Each demon has a rank and a power from 15% for Furcas up to 100% for Belial, who can land any value anywhere.
- Summoning from HOME rerolls the FM6 patch, ENV, LFO and FX together, while an operator page rerolls the whole FM6 patch.
- Turning a knob on an ENV, LFO, FX or operator page summons too, a new demon on every click.
- Hold SAVE to undo back to the sound you had before you started summoning.
- The demon's sigil replaces the graph area on every page, showing its name and rank and breathing with your sound.
- Summoned sounds save with presets and projects, and record as automation when you summon while armed and playing.
- On FM6 a summoning never comes out silent, and the keys always keep playing pitched notes.
Its modes
- Ritual
- Hold EDIT and press the RIT key to let demons into the track, so knobs and the SUM key summon new sounds.
- HOME
- Summon everything on the track at once: the FM6 patch, ENV, LFO and FX under one demon.
- OPERATOR
- Summon the whole FM6 patch, including all six operators, algorithm and feedback.
- OPERATOR 2
- Another operator page where a summoning rerolls the entire FM6 patch.
- OP ENV
- Set the operator envelopes that FM6 actually uses, and summon the full patch from here.
- ENV
- Summon the whole envelope area across every page of that family.
- LFO
- Summon all LFO pages together under one demon.
- FX
- Summon the whole effects area for the track.
- DLY
- Adjust the shared delay, where a summoning rolls only this page and SAVE cannot undo it.
- REVERB
- Adjust the shared reverb, summoned one page at a time for every track at once.
What Les checked
NOIZ DEMONS v666Scanned October 31, 2026
What we checked for
- The file is exactly the one its author published
- It's the same file we saw when this release first came out
- It opens cleanly as an FM-1 firmware, nothing damaged
- It doesn't show up on your computer as a keyboard, mouse or other input device
- It doesn't show up as a USB drive or network adapter
- Its text mentions no computer command tools, like PowerShell, Terminal or a download command
What we found
- MIDI and audio, as expected
- A serial port, which many FM-1 firmwares keep for debugging. It can't type into your computer.
