What Niagara Drift does
- Niagara Drift turns the FM-1 into a drone synth with two always-on drones you tune, shape and move.
- Each drone blends sine to square, adds a partner at an interval, a sub or subharmonic and noise into its own filter.
- Twelve presets sit on the white keys, from Niagara and Abyss to Tanpura, Whistle, Cathedral and Metal.
- You hold the top four white keys for the Weight, Shift, Clean and Wash gestures, which fade out as slowly as you held them.
- Store 36 scenes of your own across banks A, B and C by holding SAVE and tapping a white key.
- Tap a scene key to morph there, or press harder to crossfade partway and hold the blend with SEL.
- REC records your knob moves and loops them for up to five minutes.
- The Ultra LFO, the Swell, Drift, Wander and Age keep the sound breathing, through a four-type delay into a reverb that reaches Inf.
