What Nauclerus does
- Eight drum tracks play 808 and 909 kicks, snares, claps, hats, toms, cowbell, cymbal, ports of Plaits' drum algorithms and samples.
- Up to two tracks run ACID, a bass voice with SAW, variable-width PULSE or MORPH waves into a resonant four-pole ladder filter.
- Each track holds up to 64 steps with its own length, division, swing, accents, probability and ratchets, or follows a GRIDS channel.
- SCL turns the white keys into a keyboard: play the selected track, record it live while playing, or enter notes step by step.
- TB-3PO writes seeded acid lines in 22 scales, and ORB Remix reorders which stored step each playing position reads.
- Two LFOs per track feed four routing slots, while MOTION and parameter locks capture knob turns per step.
- Every track has DIST, SLICER and RESON with delay, reverb and chorus sends, and holding FX opens PERFORM for live master effects.
Its modes
- EDIT
- Pick the selected track's model and shape its sound with the four knobs, and hold EDIT for the PRESETS list.
- STEP
- Turn steps on and off on the 16 white keys and hold a step for PROB, RATCH and ACCENT.
- PATTERN
- Set the track's length up to 64 steps, its division, swing and whether it reads steps or a Grids channel.
- REMIX
- Draft a Remix bank and pattern, confirm it with K4 SET or OCT+, and switch the mapping on or off.
- MOTION
- Play back recorded knob movement, see the track's MOTION and LOCKS counts, and clear its motion.
- SONG
- Chain up to 16 rows of project slots with repeats and an optional loop, then start the chain with PLAY.
- GRIDS
- Set the drum pattern map, X, Y and CHAOS or Euclidean lengths, assign the first three tracks, and write a rhythm into steps.
- GENERATE
- Set density, accent, slide and octave range for the acid line, then press OCT+ for a new line or OCT- to mutate it.
- DEST
- Route each of the four slots from either LFO, bipolar or one-sided, to a destination with its own depth.
- PROJECT
- Choose a slot A to D, name the project, and load or save it with the transport stopped.
