What MODELAR does

  • Four oscillators drone all the time, each with twelve waves and eight routings from mix and ring to chain FM.
  • The sixteen white keys form an XY pad: touch one to glide the cursor there, hold several to sit between them.
  • Eleven black keys draw gestures such as circle, eight, spiral, tremolo, random walk and bounce, latched with SEL.
  • K1 to K4 always fade the four oscillators in, and MASTER sets the main volume.
  • A stereo chain adds filter, drive, fold, ring, crush, tremolo, chorus, delay and reverb.
  • The sequencer holds eight patterns with a KAOS lane and four oscillator lanes, each its own length for polymeters.

Its modes

bars
See four bars and set the volume, wave and tone of each oscillator.
FX
Set the filter, VCA tremolo, drive, fold, ring, chorus, delay, reverb, crush and FX level.
ENV
Pick a generative environment and set drift, drift speed, mutation and density.
LFO
Shape two LFOs and set the clock rate, source, swing and jitter.
EDIT
Assign two destinations each for X and Y with slew, attack, release, range and curve.
GLO
Press a key to give it its own point or gesture, intensity, oscillators and X/Y destinations.
ARP
Arpeggiate the held points with mode, rate, gate, glide, swing, latch and spread.
