What MIDIMON does

  • MIDIMON shows every message arriving from USB, the TRS jack and both Bluetooth links, in hex, in words or both.
  • Four sources run at once: USB, TRS, BLE-Periphery and BLE-Central, each shown and filtered on its own.
  • THRU routes any source to USB, BLE-P and BLE-C, turning the FM-1 into a wireless MIDI bridge.
  • Every route carries its own filter by channel and message type, so clock or stray notes stay out.
  • The LOG tab switches with ALGO to KEYS, CC, CHANS and CLOCK views of the same stream.
  • It holds the last 4096 messages, with pause, scroll back and a clear that asks first.
  • SysEx, system common, clock, transport, running status and faults such as stray bytes all appear as they came.
  • SAVE keeps your settings in flash, and the chosen Bluetooth device is kept the moment you pick it.

Its modes

LOG
Watch the last messages scroll by in hex, in words or both, with timing, pausing and scrolling back.
KEYS
See the notes held on each channel on a zoomed keyboard with velocity and poly pressure.
CC
Watch pitch bend and channel pressure as graphs and the controllers last moved as bars.
CHANS
Check each channel's activity per source and the last message it carried.
CLOCK
Read incoming tempo, run state, beat, song position, clock spacing and assembled timecode.
FILTER
Hide or show channels on the white keys and message types on the black keys, per source.
STATS
Count messages and bytes per source, messages a second, what was lost and sent, plus Bluetooth state.
THRU
Route each source to USB, BLE-P and BLE-C, giving every route its own filter.
