What MC-1 does

  • Play three melodic parts and sixteen drum lanes using 128 presets built from recorded instrument attacks and a monophonic acid engine.
  • Build 64 patterns of 16 steps across four parts, with swing, gate, accent, slide and tempos from 40 to 240 BPM.
  • Eight synthesized kits cover kick, snare, hats, clap, toms, cymbals and percussion, edited as hits and lane levels on a grid.
  • Arrange up to 128 pattern entries with one to sixteen repeats each, stopping at the end or looping.
  • Send every part to four shared effect banks of reverbs, delays, choruses and flangers, with a master volume and limiter.
  • Hold a chord and the arpeggiator turns it into UP, DOWN, UP-DOWN, ORDER, RANDOM or CHORD phrases.
  • PLAY + REC records played notes plus sound, level and send movements as step-quantized automation.
  • Press SAVE twice while stopped to store a project; USB MIDI, TRS MIDI input and stereo USB audio reach a computer.
