What Matryoshka does
- Matryoshka builds sounds from patched modules: oscillators, wavetable, string, granular, resonators, filters, ladder, delay, reverb and chorus.
- Sixty-six factory assemblies cover drums, voices, effects, textures and utilities, including instruments built after famous synthesizers.
- The Sequencer module runs eight steps with length, direction, glide and gate length, clocked by an LFO or clock divider.
- A patch is mono until you add a Voicing module, and the FM-1 plays up to eight voices.
- On the FM-1, PRESET steps through patches, SELECT through devices, ALGO through pages, and KNOB1 to 4 turn the rows.
- SAVE writes a patch into the 64-slot bank in flash, and the browser editor keeps your patches and assemblies.
- Connect the FM-1 over USB MIDI to send patches, mirror the bank and install firmware.
- Pitch bend, the mod wheel and aftertouch feed patch parameters, and FX, LFO, EDIT and ARP do what the patch decides.
