What Jam Playground does

  • Power on and it is already playing, with a new song every boot.
  • Jam Playground builds and plays tunes on its own, changing sounds and mutating patterns as it goes.
  • Press Play to stop and start automatic song mode and take over yourself.
  • Sounds include sampled FM piano, vibes, kalimba, harp, upright bass, flute, tenor sax, muted trumpet and harmonica.
  • Four synth keys sound at once, a fifth cuts the oldest, and eleven drums sit beside them.
  • In Glo, Rec captures the last sixteen bars of keyboard play and loops it back on a second press.
  • The Seq page shows all tracks and steps, so you edit steps and set each track's sound, scale, volume and filter.
