What IND-1 does

  • IND-1 plays itself from the moment it switches on, arranging intros, verses, builds, choruses, breakdowns and drops.
  • Six layers sound together: crushed drums, a sequenced bass, two synthesized guitars, FM stabs, metal percussion and a drone or static bed.
  • Press a key and the whole machine moves to that root on the next bar.
  • Any edit locks the song, so you can write the drums, bass, guitar, synth, metal rings and section plan step by step.
  • Eight pieces, from Foundry to Klaxon, each hold their own groove, tempo, key, mode and song.
  • All eight pieces save to the FM-1 by itself while stopped, or at once with SAVE.
  • MIDI arrives over USB and the TRS jack, so notes move the root and clock runs the grid.
