What HYP-1 does

  • HYP-1 plays hypnotic techno the moment you switch it on, with pad, drone, acid line and noise over your drums.
  • Hold SEQ for a sixteen-step sequencer with six drum lanes, six patterns and level, tune and decay per drum.
  • Tap the white keys to set the scale and turn ALGORITHM for the mode, while the chords move on by themselves.
  • Hold SEL and press ENV to take the pad, drone or acid off the algorithm and play it from the keys.
  • Tap SAVE for a breakdown, again for a four-bar build and the drop, and press FX for effects on the keys.
  • Ten pieces hold their own settings, patterns and drum sounds, and SAVE on Global stores one at once.
  • USB carries notes for each voice and the drums, MIDI clock out, and clock and scale notes in.
