What HERA does

  • HERA turns the FM-1 into a chord machine with 100 chord sets mapping a chord to every key.
  • The 4-voice Juno-style synth offers 64 sounds across pads, strings, brass, keys, bass, leads, plucks and effects.
  • Nine phrase styles with twelve variations each play arpeggios, rhythms, chord and strum parts while you hold the keys.
  • The step sequencer holds 64 patterns of up to 64 steps, with ties, shuffle, step tools and real-time recording.
  • Tap SEL for chord mode, ARP for phrases, and shape the sound with filter, envelope, delay and reverb on K1 to K4.
  • Press REC then PLAY to record what you play into the step that is flashing, with punch in and out.
  • SAVE keeps the current pattern and GLO + SAVE saves all 64 in the FM-1's flash.
  • HERA works over USB MIDI, sending and receiving notes, program changes and clock, and it also runs in your browser.
