What FOMAJAM does

  • Nine tracks each run their own machine: a drum machine, a synth engine or MIDI out.
  • Drums cover modeled 808, 909, SDS-V and CR-78 plus ROM-sampled 707, 606, DMX, LinnDrum and more.
  • Synth engines include ANALOG, LOFI, TRIO, WHEEL, NOISE, PHASE, VOICE, PHYS, STRING and SUPERSAW, each with presets.
  • The sequencer holds 40 patterns of 16 steps with accents, slides and ratchets up to eight repeats.
  • Press REC to play notes straight into the running pattern, or step through the grid when stopped.
  • Every track sends to delay, reverb and chorus, then a master filter and eleven kinds of distortion.
  • SAVE keeps the whole song, and setups on a computer or fm1buddy load songs and drum kits back.
  • MIDI arrives over USB and the TRS jack, with clock in and out, and USB audio plays through the FM-1.
