What fm1-trio does
- You play jazz chords and a walking bass and a drummer, both neural networks on the FM-1, play along.
- Once your chords come round again, TRIO learns the tune's form and keeps going round it when you stop playing.
- K1 sets the tempo, K2 the bass's freedom, K3 how much the drummer plays, and K4 the swing.
- ARP picks the feel: AUTO starts in two then walks in four, or stay in TWO or FOUR.
- Press EDIT and walk a line yourself, and the bass learns to walk more the way you do.
- REC starts a new tune, and holding EDIT returns the bass to how it was trained.
- SAVE keeps the tempo, mix, feel, octave and what the bass learned for the next start.
- MIDI arrives over USB, the TRS jack and Bluetooth, and the USB cable also records the trio as a sound card.
