What fm1-synthdef does
- Write a patch in the local browser editor, compile it with SuperCollider on your Mac, send it over USB and play it.
- The device runs the compiled graph using 53 supported UGen types, covering oscillators, filters, noise, envelopes, resonators and delay, comb and allpass filters.
- Two voices sound at once with velocity, pitch, gate and live control, with voice stealing when you keep playing.
- Eight synth slots hold your patches, and slot 0 is a permanent stereo master effect that keeps decaying through preset changes.
- Four shared knobs drive whichever live controls a patch names, so knobs can shape the synth and the echo together.
- The example bank gives you a master echo, keys, five-harmonic additive, triple saw and two-op FM.
- The editor keeps a local bank that survives a server restart, reads patches back from the device, and the FM-1 carries USB audio and MIDI.

Les scans every firmware here whose file is public, and shows what it checked and what it found. A scan lowers the risk; it can't rule it out. This firmware is made by its author, not by Les or M-VAVE. Back up first, and install at your own risk. How Les scans firmware
