What fm1-sid does
- FM-1 SID plays C64 .sid tunes, PSID and RSID, and GoatTracker 2 songs through an emulated SID chip.
- The sound comes from reSID 0.16 or fm1-sid's own SID model, switched with EDIT.
- In the synth the 27 keys play 12 SID instruments, with cutoff, resonance, attack and release on KNOB1-4.
- A step sequencer gives three tracks of 16 steps, each on its own SID voice, with live recording.
- The GoatTracker editor on the FM-1 edits patterns, order lists, instruments and tables while the song plays.
- SAVE puts a song into one of 16 flash slots, where it stays and joins the player's list.
- The FX page adds stereo chorus, tempo delay and reverb after the chip, and picks 6581 or 8580.
- Over USB it shows up as FM-1 SID: notes play the synth and editor, program change picks a tune.
