What fm1-keyboard-academy does
- Eight chapters of keyboard lessons run on the device, from finding middle C to performing complete melodies with less assistance.
- Thirty short traditional melodies and twelve foundation exercises each follow a listen, watch, play and review loop.
- The full FM synthesizer stays behind the learning home, with standard sound presets, 32 DX7 algorithms and the algorithm editor.
- The four upper knobs set chapter, lesson, sound and help level, PLAY starts or retries, and REC repeats the demonstration.
- Scoring tracks pitch accuracy, repeats a lesson below 80%, moves forward at mastery and rates you PERFECT, GREAT, GOOD or KEEP GOING.
- After ten seconds without input the demonstration starts again by itself.
- A computer tool imports a Standard MIDI melody into a 4,064-byte FM1 Open project, keeping its sound, preset and algorithm.

Its file didn't open cleanly as an FM-1 firmware, so we didn't scan it further.
Les scans every firmware here whose file is public, and shows what it checked and what it found. A scan lowers the risk; it can't rule it out. This firmware is made by its author, not by Les or M-VAVE. Back up first, and install at your own risk. How Les scans firmware
