What fm1-dub does
- DUB-1 plays generative dub techno by itself: chord stabs into a tape echo, FM pings, sub bass, kick, hats and crackle.
- ALGORITHM steps each layer through its voices: seven chord voices, five ping voices, five bass voices and five drum kits.
- PRESETS picks one of eight pieces, and the keys set the scale, each key adding or taking out its note.
- Tap SEL for PERFORM, where the knobs sweep Filter, Wet, Energy and Duck and the keys mute, solo and throw.
- A tap on REC holds the echo, and holding REC opens a grid of sixteen effects played on the white keys.
- Write chords into eight slots on the Chords page, or draw the drums' five lanes of sixteen steps on the Pattern page.
- It keeps all eight pieces in memory, saving by itself while resting or when you hold GLO for half a second.
- MIDI comes in over USB and the TRS jack, the grid follows MIDI clock, and notes and clock go out over USB.
