What fm1-arphony does
- A riff turns on top while a bass note and up to two chord tones move slowly below.
- Seventeen riff shapes plus RANDOM riffs made from rules run at eighth, triplet or sixteenth rates with gate, swing, accent and MUTATE.
- Fourteen modal progressions in six modes play on their own, or you press a key to call a chord.
- LEAD, PEDAL, FOLLOW and PENTA decide how the riff bends to each new chord, and TWIN adds an octave or high pings.
- Fourteen voices give each layer two oscillators, FM bell for the riff, sub for the bass, filter and ADSR.
- Tape echo, ladder filter, ping-pong delay and shimmer reverb sit after the voices, with six ready riff sounds and fifteen presets.
- SAVE stores every setting, including the random riff and chords, in sixteen user presets in the FM-1's Flash.
- Incoming notes choose chords and MIDI clock sets the tempo, while MIDI out sends riff, bass and chord tones over USB, BLE or DIN.
