What Felucca-opx does
- Fourteen engines cover virtual analog, FM, phase distortion, chiptune, samples, organ, granular, physical models, noise, slices and drums.
- The OPX engine gives six operators per voice with 40 algorithms and a USER matrix, plus seven factory sounds.
- Each operator runs as FM, ring mod, filter, filter FM, wave folder, effect, bypass or mute, with 23 waveforms.
- Four tracks share eight voices, each with 64 steps, chords, ties, accent, slide, chance, velocity and ratchets.
- Live loop recording, step recording, parameter locks and knob automation all land on the same steps.
- Play the keys chromatically, in a scale on the white keys, as one-finger chords or through the arpeggiator.
- Save sounds to 32 user preset slots and 4 projects, named on the device, with an autosave that restores your last music.
Its modes
- ALGO
- Set the algorithm, every operator's attack and decay, and the patch slot, with an oscilloscope beside the algorithm chart.
- OPERATORS
- Pick one of the six operators and step through its MODE, PITCH, EG, KTRK, USER, ALGO and VOICE rows.
- HOME
- Play with the track's four main knobs over an oscilloscope or the four tracks and their levels.
- CLOCK
- Set the tempo, swing and clock source.
- STEP
- Write and edit steps in the piano roll or the drum grid, and hold a step to lock parameters.
- DETAIL
- Set the cursor step's chance, ratchet, nudge and velocity on the four knobs, drawn as lanes.
- AUTOMATION
- See and edit every lock, automation event and per-step value on the track as one list.
- SONG
- Chain up to 16 sections, each naming the project slot every track plays and its repeats.
- SEQ TOOLS
- Reach CLEAR, REVERSE, SHIFT, RANDOM and COOK on the keys, with length, division, swing and gate on the knobs.
What Les checked
Felucca-opx v0.2.0Last scanned: v0.1.0, October 31, 2026
What we checked for
- The file is exactly the one its author published
- It's the same file we saw when this release first came out
- It opens cleanly as an FM-1 firmware, nothing damaged
- It doesn't show up on your computer as a keyboard, mouse or other input device
- It doesn't show up as a USB drive or network adapter
- Its text mentions no computer command tools, like PowerShell, Terminal or a download command
What we found
- MIDI and audio, as expected
- A serial port, which many FM-1 firmwares keep for debugging. It can't type into your computer.

We couldn't tell which file in this release is the FM-1 one, so we didn't scan it.
Les scans every firmware here whose file is public, and shows what it checked and what it found. A scan lowers the risk; it can't rule it out. This firmware is made by its author, not by Les or M-VAVE. Back up first, and install at your own risk. How Les scans firmware
