What Fantasma does
- Thirteen engines include AMBI for sea, rain, fire and vinyl beds and BELL for soft two-operator FM bells.
- SEQ > AMBIENT builds a whole ambient piece: OCT+ picks sounds, a key and a scale and starts the Pad, bells and noise.
- The sequencer holds 64 steps per track with chords, ties, accent, slide, per-step chance, velocity and ratchets, plus live loop recording with overdub.
- Four parts named PAD, LEAD, ECHOES and NOISE each carry their own colour, engines and warm presets.
- OMNI turns the keys into an Omnichord: black keys hold chords, white keys strum, ENV makes it minor and LFO adds the seventh.
- On Echoes the bells play themselves from four drifting loops, and the keys choose which notes they draw from.
- AMBI reverb stretches tails from 7 seconds up to about 90 seconds, next to delay, chorus, insert effects and the SLICER.
- Store sounds in 32 user preset slots and four projects, and the FM-1 starts again with the music you left.

What we checked for
- The file is exactly the one its author published
- It's the same file we saw when this release first came out
- It opens cleanly as an FM-1 firmware, nothing damaged
- It doesn't show up on your computer as a keyboard, mouse or other input device
- It doesn't show up as a USB drive or network adapter
- Its text mentions no computer command tools, like PowerShell, Terminal or a download command
What we found
- MIDI and audio, as expected
- A serial port, which many FM-1 firmwares keep for debugging. It can't type into your computer.
