What erik37 does
- You play a sampled concert grand with three velocity layers, key-by-key decay, dampers and their noise.
- ALGORITHM picks the four voices: CONCERT, STUDIO, VINTAGE and JAZZ, each with its own colour.
- Twenty notes of polyphony sound at once, with extra room for notes fading out.
- REC toggles sustain, ENV gives sostenuto and SEL gives una corda, held or latched with a tap.
- An eight-line reverb offers chamber, hall and church rooms with size, amount and width.
- PRESETS steps through USER 1 to USER 12, recalling a sound as it lands on each one.
- SAVE held a second stores the current sound into the preset PRESETS points at, kept through power-off.
- The keys span F3 to G5 with velocity, and OCT shifts them by octaves while MASTER sets the volume.
Its modes
- play
- Watch the strings light up as they sound and set tone, room, reverb and metronome tempo on the four knobs.
- TONE & TOUCH
- Shape the touch curve, brilliance, sympathetic resonance and the level of the damper release noise.
- ROOM
- Choose the room and set its size, amount and width.
- PEDALS & PADS
- Set the una corda depth, and on the FM-1 this page holds the una corda depth alone.
- ABOUT
- Read the audio load, the voices sounding, the most voices reached and xruns.
