What CTL-1 does

  • CTL-1 turns the FM-1 into a MIDI controller whose keys, knobs, arpeggiator and sequencer all send out over USB and Bluetooth.
  • The FM-1 plays everything on its own General MIDI sounds and drum kit through its speaker and headphone jack, with nothing connected.
  • Four Euclidean drum tracks run on the clock, each with its own steps, hits, rotation and note, and the keys edit steps by hand.
  • The arpeggiator plays held notes or a chord in tempo, up, down, up-down, random or as played, across up to three octaves.
  • KNOB 1-4 send sixteen controllers in four banks, and holding FX sets each bank's controller numbers yourself.
  • With Touch on, the keys read how hard you play for velocity and aftertouch, with an adjustable curve and sensitivity.
  • CTL-1 saves every page by itself a few seconds after a change, or at once when you press SAVE.
