What Chipbox does

  • Build up to 16 channels in any mix, drawn from more than 35 sound chips.
  • Chips run from NES pulse and SID voices to FM, wave, organ and beeper channels.
  • Write notes by step entry, by live recording into a looping page, or on the drum lanes.
  • The chip screen shapes tone, envelope, arp chords, wave folding and FM algorithms with four knobs.
  • Chain 64 pages of 16 steps into a song of up to 128 slots.
  • FX pads give filters, echo, reverb, crush, decimate, gate, dive, wobble, solo and kill.
  • Projects save on their own when nothing plays, with SAVE to force it and LFO to undo.
