What Caravel does
- Sixteen engines cover leads, basses, pads, organ, six-operator FM, physical models, samples, granular clouds, drums and noise, each with factory presets.
- A 64-step sequencer records live or step by step with chords, ties, chance, conditions, ratchets, nudge, locks and automation.
- Four tracks share eight voices, and MENU > VOICES reserves voices for a track that needs them.
- The STASIS reverb captures what you play and holds it as a slowly moving stereo wash you keep playing over.
- ADD mixes a fresh capture into the held texture, and BLEND moves into a new one over 1 to 30 seconds.
- Pair Morph plays two engines from the same notes so you can blend between their sounds in real time.
- Build a custom HOME surface and map up to four parameters to each of four macros per track.
- MIDI arrives over USB and TRS with per-track channels, MIDI LEARN and external clock, alongside USB audio and the web editor.
Its modes
- HOME
- Play from your own performance surface, where SELECT picks the active row, KNOB 1-4 edit it and ALGO chooses the track.

- LFO
- Set LFO shape and rate above, sync and trigger below, with a small wave pictogram.
- ENV
- Shape the ATK, DEC, SUS and REL envelope and choose its destinations.
- EDIT 1 / EDIT 2
- Turn the eight engine controls of the selected sound.
- MORE
- Reach SPRD, MORPH and PHS FB for the engines that have them.
- INSERT
- Choose the track's insert type, mix, FX HOLD, its A B C controls and the FILTER.
- CHORD
- Set the chord each scale note plays and switch LATCH to OFF, NEW or STACK.
- STEP
- Enter and edit sequencer steps on the piano roll, clearing the cursor step with SEQ held plus F5.
