What BEETLE does

  • BEETLE turns the FM1 into a six lane tracker with five synth channels and one digital drum lane.
  • The synth voices include VA, SID-inspired and NES-inspired types across twelve oscillator types and eight active patches.
  • The drum lane plays 14 built-in sounds with two hits per step, or three when NOTE3 is on.
  • You write notes from the built-in keyboard with REC armed, moving the grid with K1, K2 and K3.
  • Forty-eight patterns of 1 to 16 steps chain into songs of up to 64 positions.
  • Sixteen Punch-In effects such as REPEAT, TAPE STOP, BITCRUSH and DJ ISOLATOR play from the white keys and record.
  • Twelve project slots hold patterns, songs, instruments, drums, mixer and effect settings, with encrypted backups to a computer.
  • A USB-C cable carries audio into a computer as a stereo master or six separate mono tracks.
