What bass-something-2 does

  • You play a monosynth with two oscillators, a sub and noise, through a Classic or Acid filter with drive.
  • The arpeggiator plays held notes in six modes over up to four octaves across 32 rhythms, with swing and latch.
  • A 32-step sequencer keeps four sequences with rests and legato, timed by the arp's rhythm and transposed from the keys.
  • Press REC for a random sound, or hold REC and press OCT+ for AFX mode, where every key plays differently.
  • The keys answer to velocity and pressure, and SAVE stores the sound into one of 32 patches.
  • Bass Station II patch dumps and whole banks load and send over USB, so an editor can store your sounds.
  • MIDI arrives over USB, Bluetooth and TRS, and the USB cable also makes the FM-1 a sound card.
